Saskatchewan is a province of many seniors and the health system is broken. It’s almost impossible to see a doctor. It can take years to see a specialist. We just don’t have enough healthcare professionals. I think many people just give up.
I understand from a number of individuals seeking medical attention or treatment that the governing body, the Saskatchewan Health Authority, that if in hospital you are encouraged and strongly led to Perdue the “MAID” (medical assistance in dying). This is regardless of your prognosis or reason for treatment. The bottom line is making space and freeing up a bed.
Within the Saskatchewan Health Authority, Social Workers and other staff freely bring up the MAiD Conversation with their clients, as it is viewed, by them, as a "health care option". They do this believing they are not coercing their clients to choose MAiD, but rather giving them an option. It is both sad and frightening. We are at the point where family members need to guard their loved ones in the hospital.
It’s nearly impossible to guard your loved ones. The palliative care team will wait for when you’re not in your loved one’s hospital room and then offer your loved one their sales pitch for a peaceful and comfortable transition. They will say to your loved one, “It’s your decision, and we want you to know that whatever you decide, we’re here for you.” They want your loved one to trust them, and not you. They think that if you’re in the room, you’re a source of external pressure, but they don’t consider themselves to be a source of external pressure. The palliative care team members have never met your loved one before and don’t know anything about them. You, on the other hand, know almost everything about your loved one. For them to think that they’re in a better position than you are to act in your loved one’s best interest is the height of arrogance, and is infinitely insulting. — Thomas Lester
Thomas Lester, Yes You Are Correct About Everything; However The Palliative Care Team Members
Who Have Never Met Your Loved One Before And Don't Know Anything About Them Is Also Very Correct, So Therefore They Should Have Their Name Changed To "Palliative Killing Team Members" AND REMOVE "CARE" AS THAT IS NOT CARE TO PRESSURE KILLING OPTIONS ON VULNERABLE PEOPLE & THESE INDIVIDUALS ARE ABUSING BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS OF THE VULNERABLE AND THEIR FAMILIES AND FRIENDS ALSO FOR STICKING UP FOR THE BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS OF THESE VULNERABLE PEOPLE!!! ...And, Also Because "You, On The Other Hand, Know Almost Everything About Your Loved One", Is AGAIN VERY CORRECT, And "For Them To Think That They’re In A Better Position Than You Are To Act In Your Loved One’s Best Interest" IS VERY CORRECT BECAUSE YES THEY DO BELIEVE THAT, IS NOT JUST ARROGANCE, IT IS IN FACT AGAINST BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS, AND IN SIMPLE TERMS A "BLOODY MURDER THEY ARE COMMITTING AGAINST NATURAL LAWS AND HIPPOCRATIC OATHS" AND OPPOSITE OF WHAT THEY WERE TRAINED AND EDUCATED TO DO TO BEGIN WITH!!! AND THE SAD AND SICKENING PART IS IT IS HAPPENING EVERYWHERE IN CANADA, A COUNTRY NEVER TRADITIONALLY BASED OF THESE VALUES AND ETHICS AND SPREADING EVERYWHERE LIKE A SICK DISEASE AND EPIDEMIC WITH THE DEVIL LEADING AND SPREADING IT EVERYWHERE TO ALL WITH THE EVIL OF MONEY BRIBING!!! MONEY BRIBING FROM PHARMACEUTICAL COMPANIES MAKING THESE EUTHANASIA DRUGS AND ASSISTED SUICIDE DRUGS TO HOSPITALS, PHYSICIANS, LAWYERS, POLITICIANS, GOVERNMENTS, TECH COMPANIES, ETC... IT NEEDS A GREAT EFFORT FROM ALL PROFESSIONALS TO COME TOGETHER TO SAY ENOUGH IS ENOUGH AND IT NEEDS TO STOP!!!
The Palliative Killing Squad Is Of Arrogance And Abuses Basic Human Rights Of The Vulnerable & Basic Human Rights Of Those Standing Up For The Vulnerable (i.e. Family Members, Friends, Etc...)
